Who's Back?

Every once in a while I like to listen to old classics like this one.

My Boyfriend's Back by The Angels (http://youtu.be/REeeucZtDY0)

This nice song was released way back in 1963, almost 50 years now! Over the past 50 years, the hit song has inspired numerous cover versions, including a version done by The Chipettes (I had to throw that one in there). ;P

By the way, I just love the old TV shows like the Clay Cole Show or the Ed Sullivan Show!

Indian Jam

Truthfully, I have no idea what to say about this song. It's just so strange and different and Indian! (Indian as in from India by the way.)

Tunak Tunak Tun by Daler Mehndi (http://youtu.be/-bAN7Ts0xBo)

**Edit 4/8/2012** The above link has been taken down so I am replacing it and the video below with this one. (http://youtu.be/mg-4c4uQmdo)

With a little research, I found that Mr. Mehndi was formerly "famous" because of his music videos featuring beautiful women. This was his answer to that; the first video made featuring only himself and the first music video produced in India using bluescreen technology. You definitely have to give the man props for that!

Bet this is the first time you've heard of pop music from India too eh? :P

True Filipino Rap

A song with a good rhythm is the perfect way to start off the day in my opinion. And I am definitely loving this beat!

One Hit Combo by Parokya ni Edgar ft. Gloc9 (http://youtu.be/3_vYPf3GmCE)

Now Parokya ni Edgar is a little Filipino band that started off back in 1993 with a group of college students. They have dabbled in many sorts of musical genres, varying styles from one song to another; from rap to punk to rock. They've done it all and to great success.

Gloc9, on the other hand, is a pure rapper kind of guy. And definitely one of my personal favorites. If it was up to me, he'd be included as one of the top rappers in the world. ;)
